Volleyball Recap: Saugus Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saugus can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Swampscott Big Blue on Thursday. The Sachems haven't had much luck with the Big Blue recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Saugus was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-23.

Saugus now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Swampscott, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Saugus nor Swampscott have any future games scheduled.
