Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tyler Walker and Travon Magee Lead Magee to Victory

Magee won the last time they faced Collins and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 35-14 victory. That 21 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Magee was led to victory by Travon Magee and Tyler Walker. Magee threw for 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Walker rushed for 112 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Walker didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The win made it two in a row for Magee and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Collins, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Magee has already played their next game, a 46-20 win against Franklin County on the 26th. As for Collins, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-10 defeat against West Marion on the 26th.
