Basketball Game Preview: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Lakeland Dreadnaughts

Ridge Community hasn't had much luck against Lakeland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ridge Community Bolts will be playing at home against the Lakeland Dreadnaughts at 8:00 p.m. Ridge Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.

Ridge Community is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. They were beaten by Jordan Christian Prep 76-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bolts have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Isley Maurice, who posted eight points. Jiovanni Laporte was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Lakeland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 67-63 to Victory Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (59), the Dreadnaughts still had to take the loss.

Ridge Community's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Ridge Community was taken down by Lakeland 80-53 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Ridge Community, Rolijah Hardy (who earned 12 points along with seven assists and six boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
