Basketball Recap: Central Columbia Bluejays vs. Shamokin Area Indians
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Columbia can now relate to. They came up short against the Shamokin Area Indians on Tuesday, falling 57-32. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Indians are ranked 49th).
Jenssyn Shuey had an outrageously good game for Shamokin Area as he almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Shuey has posted since back in December of 2024. Brandt Krieger also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.
