Softball Recap: Wilton Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Wilton and Warde had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Tuesday. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wilton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Warde, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Wilton is taking a road trip to face off against Bridgeport Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hilltoppers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. Warde does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
