Recap: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays
The McDonald Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Jackson-Milton by a score of 74-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
McDonald's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joey Cappuzzello, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Zajack, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
The victory got McDonald back to even at 6-6. As for Jackson-Milton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
McDonald will be playing in front of their home fans against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than McDonald in Ohio (Springfield is ranked 294th, while McDonald is ranked 613th). As for Jackson-Milton, they will head out on the road to challenge Mineral Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mineral Ridge is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
