Softball Game Preview: Marion Local Flyers vs. Coldwater Cavaliers

Marion Local is 0-6 against Coldwater since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Flyers will challenge the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Marion Local after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of St. Henry by a score of 6-4.

Meanwhile, Coldwater lost 12-2 to Parkway on Tuesday.

Coldwater has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Marion Local, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Marion Local suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Coldwater in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
