Baseball Game Preview: Oregon Panthers vs. Waunakee Warriors

For the second straight game, Oregon will face off against Waunakee. The Panthers will square off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Oregon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Oregon is headed into the match having just suffered their closest defeat since April 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Waunakee by a score of 4-2. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Peyton Soule was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Waunakee, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-11.
