Basketball Recap: 12 Straight Road Victories for Mclean

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. The McLean Tigers enjoyed a cozy 63-47 win over the Groom Tigers. Given McLean's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Groom is ranked 1288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McLean's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailo Moon, who posted 26 points. Another player making a difference was Kasidy Russell, who put up 21 points.

McLean's win was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points over those games. As for Groom, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

McLean wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-46 victory against Motley County on the 7th. Groom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
