Highland faced Thunder Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Titans 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

McKenna Sutton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Highland's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emerson Gifford, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Katelyn Humphrys was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Highland pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Thunder Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.

As of now, neither Highland nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
