Softball Recap: Arizona College Prep Picks Up 11th Consecutive Victory

Arizona College Prep barely beat Campo Verde the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Arizona College Prep blew past Campo Verde 14-0 on Thursday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Arizona College Prep got a great performance from Ava Moynihan as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Moynihan has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Arizona College Prep let Azaria Knight and Samantha Sherman run wild. Knight scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Sherman scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Paula Cantu was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Arizona College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campo Verde only posted an OBP of .235.

The victory was the 11th in a row for Arizona College Prep, bringing their record up to 13-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games.
