Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Highland Rams

For the second straight game, Skyline will face off against Highland. The Eagles will welcome the Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Skyline's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Highland with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Andrew Lindquist looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Skyline is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Charlie Billick and Peyton PapaDakis did most of the damage at the plate: Billick went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while PapaDakis went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Billick has posted since back in March.

Skyline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland only posted an OBP of .263.

Highland is on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16. As for Skyline, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.
