Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. Lake Country Lutheran Lightning

The Lakeside Lutheran Warriors will take on the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Lakeside Lutheran needed a bit of extra time to put away Poynette. They came out on top against the Pumas by a score of 7-2. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Country Lutheran). They never let Milwaukee Lutheran get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Saturday. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gabe Snyder, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Isaiah Oksiuta was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Lake Country Lutheran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .757. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lake Country Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
