Recap: York Falcons vs. Bruton Panthers
The York Falcons fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Bruton by a score of 22-14 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as York also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Cullen Anderson and Ashton Bell, Bruton certainly did their beston Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Anderson rushed for 149 yards on only 13 carries, while Bell rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
York's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Bruton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-3.
York will challenge Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than York in Virginia (Lafayette is ranked 51st, while York is ranked 242nd). As for Bruton, they will be playing at home against Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Poquoson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
