Basketball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Forest Hills Northern Huskies

Northview is 1-9 against Forest Hills Northern since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Northview Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Forest Hills Northern Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northview comes in on four and Forest Hills Northern on ten.

Northview will bounce into Friday's game after beating East Grand Rapids, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Northview came out on top against East Grand Rapids by a score of 60-49 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills Northern strolled past Forest Hills Central with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 44-28. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Rangers are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Forest Hills Northern, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.

Northview ended up a good deal behind Forest Hills Northern when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 63-44. Can Northview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
