Football Game Preview: Creekview Mustangs vs. White Longhorns + How To Watch

The Creekview Mustangs will head out to square off against the White Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Creekview's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Creekview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down North Mesquite 59-43 on Thursday.

Creekview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brendyn Shed out in front who rushed for 132 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Another back making a difference was Kenyon Evans, who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Creekview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ahmari Washington, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, White fell victim to West Mesquite and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Wranglers. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Wranglers are ranked 291st).

White's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Creekview, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Creekview beat White 25-12 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
