Game recap

DUDLEY, Mass. - After two lead changes, Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, Mass.) took the lead for good when Jake Gelb ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat Tantasqua Regional (Fiskdale, Mass.) 20-14 on Saturday.

After nabbing the lead on a two-point conversion, the Warriors went into halftime with a 8-6 lead. The Rams took the lead to win the game on a touchdown run by Gelb in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring zero points in the third, Shepherd Hill Regional still trailed by eight points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped SHR pull out the victory.

The Dudley school entered the contest giving up 21.6 points per game this year.

When the two teams played each other last season, the Rams came away with a 36-20 victory.

The victory was a step in the right direction for Shepherd Hill Regional, which was coming off a 32-28 defeat at the hands of Doherty Memorial in its previous game. The loss comes after Tantasqua Regional defeated Hudson 51-30 last week. The loss broke Tantasqua Regional's two-game winning streak.
