Soccer Game Preview: Millbrook vs. Wakefield + Official Tickets

The Millbrook Wildcats will head out to face off against the Wakefield Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakefield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Millbrook, who comes in off a win.

Millbrook will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Enloe on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Eagles.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Wakefield's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Broughton, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Wakefield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Broughton are ranked 18th).

Wakefield's goal came courtesy of Atticus Holmes, who's now up to two this season.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 10-5-4. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-3.

Millbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Wakefield in their previous meeting on October 2nd, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
