Softball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

Frostproof fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Osceola on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Osceola Kowboys. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Frostproof saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Brantley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Menzie Neal was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Osceola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Frostproof will be playing at home against Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Osceola, they are taking a road trip to take on Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
