Baseball Game Preview: Forrest Rockets vs. Cascade Champions

For the second straight game, Forrest will face off against Cascade. Forrest is taking a road trip to take on Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Forrest took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Cascade by a score of 5-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Tyler Baxter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Baxter was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Kason Fuller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Lane Smith also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Forrest now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Cascade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
