Basketball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Eagle's View Warriors, falling 77-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 62-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Leading Eagle's View to victory were JUSTIS CLEMENTS and CORI LAVOILE. CLEMENTS went 10 for 14 on his way to 23 points and six rebounds, while LAVOILE went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and five steals. The match was CLEMENTS's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of COBY THORPE, who posted 13 points.

Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Eagle's View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stanton will welcome West Nassau at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eagle's View, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harvest Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle's View is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
