Basketball Game Preview: Castlemont Knights vs. Encinal Jets

The Castlemont Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the Encinal Jets at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Castlemont comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Castlemont came up into this matchup off a tough 33-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of McClymonds by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Encinal suffered their closest defeat since January 17, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of San Lorenzo by a score of 61-58. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Castlemont's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Encinal, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
