Volleyball Recap: Grayslake North Takes a Loss

Grayslake North lost against Antioch back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequoits.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-10.

Antioch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Jilly, who had six digs and two blocks. That's the most blocks Jilly has posted over his last six contests. Another player making a difference was Ethan Espinoza, who had five kills and four digs.

Grayslake North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Antioch, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Grayslake North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Grant Community on the 15th. As for Antioch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Round Lake on the 15th.
