Basketball Recap: Levi Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian over Liberty Christian

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 58-43 bruising from the Liberty Christian Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-29 back in December of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Levi Brown, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Collin Frye, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 17 points.

Jakeem Bradford was his usual excellent self, putting up 33 points in addition to five boards and five steals for Liberty Christian. Bradford has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 30 times he's played. Ian Sterrett was another key player, posting 15 points.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Liberty Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Faith Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-32 victory against Sandhills Classical Christian on the 7th. As for Liberty Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-40 win against Alamance Christian on the 7th.
