Seymour is 8-2 against Charlestown since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Seymour Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Charlestown Pirates at 7:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Seymour turned things around against Martinsville on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Artesians as they made off with a 55-30 win. The game marked the Owls' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Charlestown entered their tilt with Heritage Hills on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Patriots 79-54. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 25 points or more this season.

Seymour better keep an eye on Anthony Fresh. He was instrumental in Charlestown's win, going 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and five boards. The contest was Fresh's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grason Connell, who posted nine points and four steals.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Charlestown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Seymour strolled past Charlestown in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 57-41. Will Seymour repeat their success, or does Charlestown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
