Baseball Recap: Webber Comes Up Short

Webber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Red Hill Salukis, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Webber saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Withrow, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Webber's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Red Hill, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Webber will head out to face off against Woodlawn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Red Hill, they will square off against Carmi-White County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
