Baseball Game Preview: Tulare Union Tribe vs. Hanford Bullpups

Tulare Union hasn't had much luck against Hanford recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tribe will head out on the road to take on the Bullpups at 4:30 p.m.

Tulare Union fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lemoore on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Hanford won against Lemoore on Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bullpups beat Dinuba by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5. The Bullpups haven't had any issues with the Emperors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Thane Herman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Hanford's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 7-11 when he doesn't).

Tulare Union's loss dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Hanford, their record is now 11-12.

Tulare Union suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Hanford in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Tribe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
