Basketball Recap: Central Christian Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elyria Catholic, Central Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orrville Red Riders, sneaking past 36-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Comets have posted since December 17, 2024.

Central Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Orrville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lake Center Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orrville, they will venture away from home to take on Fairless at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Orrville is facing Fairless at the right time seeing as Fairless is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
