Soccer Game Preview: Nikiski vs. Homer

Nikiski hasn't had much luck against Homer recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Mariners at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Nikiski fell victim to Kenai Central and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Kardinals, falling 13-0. Nikiski have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Homer's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 3-0 to Soldotna. Homer haven't had much luck with Soldotna recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nikiski's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Homer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Nikiski might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Homer in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
