Recap: Normangee Panthers vs. Leon Cougars
The Normangee Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Leon by a score of 75-62. With that win, Normangee brought their scoring average up to 52.1 points per game.
Normangee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pj Edwards out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Kirven, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
Normangee's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Leon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Normangee's road trip will continue as they head out to face Aggieland HomeSchool at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Aggieland HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak. As for Leon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Richards at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
