Basketball Recap: FAU High Owls vs. Lake Worth Trojans

FAU High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 48-13 defeat at the hands of the Lake Worth Trojans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-9 back in December of 2024.

Kayla Die was FAU High's leading scorer, having posted five points. Katalin Jenkins held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds.

Lake Worth found their leader in sophomore Jocilynne Sweeney, who went 10 for 17 on her way to 21 points along with eight steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sweeney has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gracy Joseph, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

FAU High's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Lake Worth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

FAU High didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-7 defeat against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 29th. Lake Worth has also already played their next contest (against Wellington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
