Volleyball Recap: Diego Garcia and Sebastian Villarreal Secure Win for Pinecrest Prep

On Thursday, the Pinecrest Prep Crocs made easy work of the Somerset College Prepartory Academy South Patriots and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pinecrest Prep was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.

Pinecrest Prep was led to victory by Sebastian Villarreal and Diego Garcia. Villarreal hit 100% for seven kills and 15 digs, five aces, and three blocks, while Garcia had ten digs.

Pinecrest Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Somerset College Prepartory Academy South, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Pinecrest Prep has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mater Brickell Academy on the 12th. Somerset College Prepartory Academy South will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on BridgePrep Village Green at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th.
