While Newberry put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Mid-Carolina. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 45-0 win over the Rebels. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rebels had no chance of recovering from.

Newberry has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points this season. As for Mid-Carolina, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
