Football Recap: Flint Southwestern Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Flint Southwestern Academy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were outmatched by the Atherton Wolverines and fell 41-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Knights haven't been shut out since back in September.

As for Atherton, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Deavante' Deleon was his usual excellent self, rushing for 176 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 176 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cartier Younger, who threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns.

Coming up, Flint Southwestern Academy will venture away from home to take on Bendle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Atherton, they will welcome Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Red Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
