Wilson waltzed into their match on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Akron Tigers a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Wilson, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Addison Elia and Kylee Elia scored all four of Wilson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will head out to take on Newfane at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Akron, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Royalton-Hartland at 6:45 p.m. on October 9.
