Volleyball Recap: Evan Bautista and Beau Banta Secure Win for California

There's no place like home for California, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past the Foothill Falcons 3-2. This was payback for the Grizzlies, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

California was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (100-98), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 15-9.

California was led to victory by Beau Banta and Evan Bautista. Banta had six digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Bautista had 26 digs and three aces. Banta has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 19 times he's played. Jathin Chandhra Ravilla also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

California's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. As for Foothill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-10.
