Softball Recap: Hull-Daisetta Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Hull-Daisetta, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Spurger Pirates with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Bobcats have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Scarlett Breaux made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Hull-Daisetta got a massive performance out of Carmyn Williams, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-2. Williams is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Cami Fregia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Hull-Daisetta's record now sits at 4-9. As for Spurger, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-1.

Hull-Daisetta will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spurger: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
