Williamsburg strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the East Clinton Astros. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Williamsburg let Julia Johnson and Kaityln Pollitt run wild. Johnson scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Pollitt scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Pollitt has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was MaKenzie Shoemake, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Williamsburg pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for East Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

The future could be bright for both Williamsburg and East Clinton: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wildcats will look to extend Felicity-Franklin's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East Clinton will try to hand Georgetown their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
