Volleyball Game Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Alcott Wildcats

The Roosevelt Rough Riders will square off against the Alcott Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roosevelt will be strutting in after a win while Alcott will be coming in after a loss.

Roosevelt took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Senn.

Roosevelt never let Senn on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Alcott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prosser.

While Alcott ultimately came up short, they really made Prosser work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Alcott, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Roosevelt beat Alcott 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Rough Riders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
