Basketball Recap: Crawford Piles Up the Points Against Valley Center + How To Watch

Crawford won the last time they faced Valley Center and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Colts really took it to the Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-42 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Colts had established a 25-point advantage.

Crawford had a senior duo take command as Mickelson Laguerra went 10-for-18 to rack up 21 points along with seven boards and five steals and Keontae Lewis shot 78% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Damian Monroy was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Crawford was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Joshua Janata and Aaren Devers certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Janata posted six points and eight boards, while Devers had nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Hall, who earned nine points.

Crawford has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 68.0 points this season. As for Valley Center, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Crawford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on December 12. As for Valley Center, they will take on Army-Navy in a tournament on Monday.
