New Hanover has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Brunswick recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

New Hanover is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: Hoggard, who was ranked third at the time (New Hanover was ranked 22nd). The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for New Hanover in their meetings with Hoggard: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but West Brunswick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past North Brunswick 1-0. The win was some much needed relief for West Brunswick as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jeremy Tapia, who's now up to four this season.

New Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for West Brunswick, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

New Hanover skirted past West Brunswick 1-0 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
