With a playoff win on the line, Autauga Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Billingsley Bears out 38-35. The win was nothing new for the Generals as they're now sitting on nine straight.

When it comes to explaining why Billingsley lost, don't look at Alana Jones. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 46 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrica Motley, who posted nine points along with seven boards and five steals.

Autauga Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Billingsley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
