Soccer Recap: Smoky Mountain vs. Franklin
Smoky Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Franklin this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.
John Cruz and Fernan Ibarra scored both of Smoky Mountain's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.
Smoky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Franklin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12-2.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Smoky Mountain is set to challenge their familiar foe North Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Franklin will take on rival West Henderson at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
