Preview: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Avon Eagles
The North Ridgeville Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Avon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, North Ridgeville came up short against Strongsville and fell 62-50. North Ridgeville has not had much luck with Strongsville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Avon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Monday, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Avon.
Avon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Alaina Pagan, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Molly Drenik, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her.
North Ridgeville's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Avon, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
North Ridgeville was able to grind out a solid victory over Avon in their previous matchup back in January, winning 58-50. Does North Ridgeville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Avon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
