Preview: Blissfield Royals vs. Onsted Wildcats
The Blissfield Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Onsted Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Blissfield came up short against Tecumseh and fell 55-48. While losing is never fun, Blissfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Tecumseh is ranked 63rd).
Meanwhile, Onsted entered their tilt with Hillsdale with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Onsted took down Hillsdale 67-52 on Tuesday.
Ayden Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Paquin, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Blissfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Onsted, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Blissfield came up short against Onsted in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 44-31. Can Blissfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
