Basketball Recap: New Oxford's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

New Oxford lost against Eastern York back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Oxford Colonials fell to the Eastern York Golden Knights 55-49. While losing is never fun, the Colonials can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 165th).

New Oxford's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Eastern York, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

New Oxford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-52 defeat against Delone Catholic on the 25th. Eastern York has also already played their next match, a 67-47 win against Columbia on the 25th.
