Football Recap: Ponte Vedra Falls to Nease in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Ponte Vedra unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nease Panthers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 24-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ponte Vedra still got an impressive performance from Cole Rosendahl, who threw for 315 yards and three TDs, and also punched in two rushing scores. 83 of Rosendahl's passing yards were hauled in by Jack Berquist, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ponte Vedra will challenge Bartram Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nease, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Creekside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
