Volleyball Game Preview: Deckerville Eagles vs. Peck Pirates

After both having extra time off, the Deckerville Eagles and the Peck Pirates will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Peck will be up against a hot Deckerville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Mayville on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Peck hadn't done well against Dryden recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this season.

Peck's victory bumped their record up to 4-19. As for Deckerville, their win bumped their record up to 14-10-2.

Everything went Deckerville's way against Peck when the teams last played back in October, as Deckerville made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
