Football Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Highlands

Harvest Christian Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Highlands Blazers by a score of 50-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Saints' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Harvest Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Chance Bramer, who rushed for 164 yards and one score on only ten carries. Those 164 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Bramer. The team also got some help courtesy of Armando Franklin, who rushed for 55 yards and three touchdowns.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Harvest Christian Academy, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Zane Barnett, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Harvest Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Franklin and Bramer.

The victory got Harvest Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Highlands, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Newman International Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Highlands, they will take on Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
