Basketball Recap: Tensas Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Carter Lardy and Vance Herring

Tensas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 65-40 to the River Oaks Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 61-23 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Vance Herring and Carter Lardy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Herring posted 11 points, while Lardy scored 11 points.

Tensas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for River Oaks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tensas Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for River Oaks, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Junction City at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
